Mardi Himal trek

A multi-day Annapurna-area trek that climbs from forest to exposed higher ridges. It is not a casual city hike.

Route shape

Road transfer from Pokhara to the agreed trailhead, then forest-stage lodges, higher camps and a weather-dependent viewpoint excursion. The return trail and road pickup are chosen with your guide.

Time and pace

A suggested planning allowance is around 5–7 days from Pokhara, with extra time when needed. The final schedule depends on fitness, the overnight elevations and current trail access.

Stays and transport

Teahouse accommodation is used along the trekking route. Room availability, food, hot water, charging and connectivity vary. Private transport supports the approach and return; there is no road transfer along the walking stages.

Preparation

Expect repeated climbs, uneven trails, cold higher nights and possible exposure. A qualified guide should review your daily plan, equipment and conditions. A lower viewpoint can be a sensible alternative.

Documents and conditions

Check the current conservation-area entry and TIMS/guide requirements for your nationality and route before departure. Do not use a sample itinerary as confirmation that a high section is open.

Documentation: Nepal Tourism Board lists revised TIMS and licensed-guide provisions for specified routes, including several Annapurna treks. Requirements depend on your itinerary and nationality; confirm them with the agency and relevant authority. Read NTB guidance. For Annapurna conservation permits, see NTNC permit information.
